“It’s All About Giving”
2007
Christmas in Minto Alaska:
The
greatest Christmas my family has ever experienced was in the
Athabascan Indian Village of Minto. It topped the charts in our
family not because of what we brought home, but because of the
great opportunities we had to bless others with many gifts. All
too often Christmas becomes a very “self-focused” time for our
children, not to mention how “caught-up” in the
commercialization we adults can get during this would-be joyous
time. Christmas should be a time of giving and especially giving
to those in need; giving to families and children less fortunate
than us.
13 people
from Alaska New Life Outreach Center (ANLOC) participated in
this journey to Minto as well as mailing gifts to the people in
the village of Beaver. Several people contributed gifts from
this church along with those from the Top of the World Warrant
Officer Association Fort Wainwright, Alaska.
Thank you
for joining our family and church as we focused our giving this
holiday on the children of Minto and Beaver. This event was a
great blessing to the many kids and elders of these villages
this Christmas!
Thanks to
your involvement we were able to deliver hundreds of “brand new”
toys and practical gifts to both children and elders; blankets,
shotgun shells, knives , coffee and tea, basket balls, coffee
mugs, thermos, tools, hunting hats, winter gloves, winter coats
for kids, etc. Over 150 kids received gifts and more than 50
elders as well.
Your
financial gifts are greatly appreciated.
Sincerely,

Ronald D.
